This Event Is Yours.

All competitors -- both kids and adults -- who won 1st place at any Good Fight qualifying tournament in 2026 have earned a complimentary entry fee into Sub-Only Worlds. This qualification is for Sub-Only Worlds only and cannot be used for any other Good Fight tournament. If unused, it expires after the 2026 Sub-Only Worlds.

Qualified in 1 Division
One Division. One Free Entry.
If you qualified in only Gi or only NoGi, your free entry covers that division only. You may compete in the other division by paying a discounted rate of $50 cash only when you check in at SO Worlds on tournament day.

Important: Only qualified divisions will be approved through online registration. Non-qualified divisions must be added on tournament day.

5 Things to Know About Sub-Only Worlds.

Anyone Can Enter.
This tournament is open to all competitors. Qualified athletes compete free of charge. Non-qualified athletes must register and pay online to compete.

No 2nd Match Guarantee.
Depending on the size of the bracket, if you lose your 1st match, you are not guaranteed a 2nd fight. Come ready to finish from the first match.

No On-Site Registration.
All competitors must pre-register online. This includes both qualified and non-qualified athletes. There are no walk-in registrations at Sub-Only Worlds.

No Novice Division for Kids.
The lowest skill category available at Sub-Only Worlds is Beginner. There is no Novice division for kids at this event.

Division Bumping for Kids & Teens.
If your child or teen has won 2 Gold medals at a past Good Fight tournament in the Beginner division, they will automatically be bumped up to Intermediate at SO Worlds.

If your child or teen has won 2 Gold medals in the Intermediate division, they will be bumped to the Advanced category.

Please note: You will NOT be called to the podium or receive your medal until AFTER your bracket is completed and handed over to the podium table.
Team Awards
6 Team Awards. All Championship Level.
Six team awards given to team champions:

1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards to the Kids/Teens team champions.
1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards to the Adult/Executive/Master team champions.

A representative from your team MUST be present to receive the team award at the tournament. If no one is available or your team doesn't respond when called, the award must be mailed.

Weigh-In Rules & Schedule.

  • Competitors weigh-in without the gi. A 1 lb allowance is given for each weight class.
  • If you are 1.2 lbs over, you must lose the extra .2 lbs to make weight.
  • If you don't make weight, you move up to the next weight class after weigh-in.
  • You may step on the scale as many times as needed until the scales close.
  • There will NOT be night-before weigh-ins.

The Good Fight offers discounts for military, college students, first responders, and families registering 2 or more family members for the same tournament. All discounts are set up on an individual basis.
